  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • ½ cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Green cabbage shredded
  • 1 Carrot sliced
  • ½ cup Zucchini sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Butter for cooking
  • ¼ cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoon Scallions chopped for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds toasted for garnish
  • 1 cup Cooked white rice to serve
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice optional for brightness

  • Heat vegetable oil and butter in a hibachi or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add garlic and ginger; stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are just tender.
  • Stir in soy sauce, chicken broth, rice vinegar, mirin, sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; cook for another 2 minutes. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over cooked white rice, with lemon juice if desired.
