Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Pillsbury refrigerated crescent roll dough Each can is 8 oz.
  • 16 mini sausages cocktail sausages
  • 1 egg beaten egg For egg wash.
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds Optional for added flavor and crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard For serving, optional.
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup For serving, optional.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup (optional).
  • Open the cans of crescent roll dough and unroll the dough. Divide it into the individual triangles along the pre-scored lines.
  • Take each triangle and cut it into smaller triangles if you want smaller pieces, or use them as they are for larger bites.
  • Place one mini sausage at the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the narrow end. Ensure the sausage is well wrapped.
  • Place the rolled sausages on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops of the wrapped sausages with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Sprinkle poppy seeds on top for added flavor and crunch (optional).
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with mustard and ketchup on the side for dipping.
You can experiment with different sausages, like bacon-wrapped or vegetarian options.
These can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them directly from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
