  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ cups baking mix (e.g., Bisquick)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, if desired.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground breakfast sausage, cheddar cheese, baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Gradually add the milk to the sausage mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Using your hands or a cookie scoop, shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  • Brush the tops of the sausage balls with melted butter to help them brown nicely in the oven.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
